Out of hours advice

Out of hours advice can be sought from the Thirtyone:eight helpline on 0303 003 1111, selecting option 2. Thirtyone:eight is an independent charity which works in close partnership with the Diocesan Safeguarding Team. The diocese receives notification of any advice given by Thirtyone:eight.

If you have immediate concerns about someone’s safety, please contact the police or your local authority Children or Adult Social Care Services.

How to raise a concern

Any safeguarding advice and concerns raised in parishes should initially be brought to the attention of the Church Safeguarding Officer or the Incumbent, who can seek advice from the Diocesan Safeguarding Team. Other areas of the diocese (e.g. chaplaincies) should contact the Diocesan Team directly.

Feedback about our service

The Diocese of London take complaints about our work and quality of service in all aspects of safeguarding seriously. We view complaints as an opportunity to learn and improve the support that we offer to parishes. If you are not satisfied with the service you have received, please follow this process.
