For 25 years our Diocese of London has enjoyed a close relationship with the German protestant church in Berlin. Parishes, choirs, pastoral assistants, theologians among others have links and friendships across our two worlds cities.
Part of our partnership is to host a conference every two years, alternating between Berlin and London. This year it is our turn!
The dates are Friday 11 October to Monday 14 October, but we are looking for hosts for about 15 Berlin clergy and laity from Friday 11th October at about 5pm until Sunday 13th October after lunch.
It would be wonderful to spread the net of those engaged in our partnership. If you or any of your parishioners can host a Berlin colleague or colleagues please let me know ASAP. It would include providing supper on Friday 11th, perhaps meeting church friends or others on Saturday 12th and taking a visitor to church with you on Sunday 13th October and eating lunch, before setting them on public transport to the Royal Foundation of St Katherine for 4pm. So just under 48 hours in your home.
