Katherine Hedderly became Archdeacon of Charing Cross in April 2024.

Katherine succeeds the Rt Revd Adam Atkinson, who was consecrated as the Bishop of Bradwell in the Diocese of Chelmsford in June 2023 and took up his role in November.

Katherine has been Vicar of All Hallows – the oldest church in the City of London – since 2019, as well as Area Dean to the City, with responsibility for leading the clergy Chapter as well as chairing the Deanery Synod. She was previously Associate Vicar for Ministry at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, where she had been since 2009.

Katherine has a background in the film and television business, was a producer and director of an independent production company and is a graduate of the National Film & Television School and the University of Oxford. She trained at NTMTC London in Contextual Theology and was ordained in 2006, serving her curacy at St Michael & All Angels, Bedford Park. She has been a churchwarden at St John’s Notting Hill, and has lived, worked and ministered in London for 30 years.
